Here’s how to get there from three popular locations: Atlantis, Baha Mar and the cruise ship port.

From Atlantis
(Paradise Island)
Private Transportation
  • Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the entrance of Atlantis. The ride to John Watling’s Distillery takes about 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs around $15–$20 USD. Simply ask the driver to take you to John Watling’s Distillery at the Buena Vista Estate.
  • Car Rental: To drive from Atlantis Resort to John Watling’s Distillery, take Paradise Island Drive to the Paradise Island Bridge and cross into Nassau. Continue straight on Mackey Street, then turn right onto Shirley Street. Follow the road to Prince Street which turns into Duke Street. At the newsstand turn left onto West Hill Street. At the end of West Hill Street, turn left onto West Street, then continue to Meeting Street and turn right. One block ahead, turn right onto Augusta Street, then make another right onto Delancy Street. The distillery will be on your right-hand side.
From Baha Mar
(Cable Beach)
Private Transportation
  • Taxi: Taxis are available at Baha Mar’s entrance. The ride to John Watling’s Distillery takes about 20–25 minutes, with a fare of approximately $25–$30 USD. Ask the driver to take you to the Buena Vista Estate in Downtown Nassau.
  • Car Rental: If you prefer to drive, head east on West Bay Street toward Downtown Nassau. Continue until you reach Nassau Street, then turn right. Follow the road to West Hill Street and turn left. The distillery will be on your right.
Public Transportation
  • Jitney (Bus): Take Jitney #10 from Baha Mar along West Bay Street to Downtown Nassau (fares are $1.25 USD per person, cash only). Get off near the Central Bank of The Bahamas on Marlborough Street and walk up Elizabeth Avenue to West Hill Street. The distillery is at the top of the hill. Note that jitneys do not operate late in the evening.
From Cruise Ship Port
(Prince George Wharf, Downtown Nassau)
Private Transportation
  • Taxi: Taxis are available right outside the cruise terminal. The ride to the distillery is only about 5 minutes and costs around $8–$10 USD. Let the driver know you are going to John Watling’s Distillery on West Hill Street.
  • Walking: The distillery is within walking distance from the port. It’s about a 10–15-minute walk. Exit the terminal and head west along Bay Street. Turn left on Parliament Street and continue uphill to West Hill Street. The distillery is located at the top of the hill on the left.
Public Transportation
  • Jitney (Bus): There is no need for a jitney as the distillery is a short walk or taxi ride away from the port.
